The name ‘Kalavinka‘ comes from a fantastical immortal creature in Buddhism, with a human head, a bird's torso, and a long flowing tail. I worked with Kalavinka to create a brand identity that referenced the form of the traditional Kalavinka, but represented it in a fresh and minimal way. Using only simple, geometric shapes I depicted the Kalavinka in a way that would scale well across all mediums and provide immediate recognition.
