About

J.D. Reeves has over a decade of experience in creating thoughtful and strategic brand identities for clients ranging a full spectrum of sizes and sectors. His experience spans from working at an agency, to leading brand development for a venture studio, to working in-house for a tech company. Since 2025, he has worked as an independent brand designer helping companies evolve their brands and expand into new visual territories.

His work blends strategic insight with thoughtful, timeless design, resulting in brand identities that are rooted in purpose and meaning. He believes that since the goal of design is communication, a design is only as beautiful as it is effective.

His personal design ethos is shaped by his upbringing as an only child, a Cherokee, and the son of a working-class family, growing up on 16 acres that offered plenty of space to think, experiment, and create.

He has 3 kids, Arlo, Oak, and Luna, and has been married to his wife Megan for 14 years. They live in midtown Tulsa.
